"Listen, first of all, there are no stupid questions, and I’m not looking to upset anyone here. However, I would be lying if I said I wasn't stunned by the entitlement and the sheer lack of interest in putting in the time and patience to build a dream.
The number of people who want to live a one-percent life but only put in the effort of the ninety-nine percent is obnoxious, delusional, dangerous, and frankly, the reason almost everyone fails.
I am incredibly passionate about this community and seeing the people who genuinely engage with my content actually succeed and achieve their life goals. But if I have to hear one more time—and by the way, I hear it over a thousand times in DMs every single week—'I’m 19. How do I become a millionaire in six months?', I’m going to literally rip my face off. I have no interest in punching anyone, as I’ve said, but I will rip my own face off my own body because I just cannot deal with this incredible lack of understanding of how real life works.
Here is how real life works:
1. You must know precisely what you are trying to accomplish.
2. You must put in an extraordinary amount of consistent, strategic work to achieve that goal.
3. You must be so detached from the success of the outcome that you are able to deal with all the adversity and judgment that comes along with pursuing a massive goal. End of story.
We need to enter an era where a 19-year-old is saying, 'How do I work super hard, thoughtfully, and strategically for the next 19 years to achieve millionaire status?' versus another 19-year-old asking how to become a millionaire within six months. Because the answer to that latter question is to become a criminal or a gambler. The end. If you want to be an entrepreneur, an executive, an operator, a winner, or a builder, nothing meaningful will happen in six months. Furthermore, a millionaire status should not be the goal. The goal should be becoming great at the craft that puts you in a position to be a person of millionaire status."
