OpenAI has partnered with Microsoft. The two companies announced a partnership in July 2019 to jointly develop new AI technologies. As part of the partnership, Microsoft invested $1 billion in OpenAI and agreed to provide Azure cloud computing services to OpenAI. In return, OpenAI agreed to use Azure as its preferred cloud platform for running its large-scale AI models.
